The gators are indeed… back

Milwaukee was a great trip, always fun to see family and explore a new state

Terraform Associate passed!

What a great weekend getting to work on the website, book the next exam, and enjoy the summer day on a long walk.

Another website TLC day. Switched to hybrid SSR and the website should be snappy all around. Can't work at Redis and have a slow website

Microsoft Build next week

Quick vacation to Raleigh, NC

Finishing up Terraform 004 here shortly, IaC is a cool concept in an increasingly prevalent multi-cloud world

SpaceX IPO is the first one I’m planning to buy at any price, data centers & moon mining just seems like a 20-year plan of success

Added RediSearch to the website and it is blazing fast, love it!

Need to give the site some TLC

The CLI tools are actually so fun to use

2026 is off to a great start. Lots of momentum across the board with both personal and professional projects. Onwards!

Time to bring this back.

In that 60-90 day range and starting to get a real footing at Redis. An absolute blast so far, amazing product, team, and timing. A real opportunity to do something special here.

Day One. Let’s be great.

End of an Era! 4 and ½ years later, one chapter closes and a new one begins.

Hard work makes you more lucky.

The grind never stops!

Every “no” gets you closer to a “yes”

Be what you want before someone pays you for it

Also forgot to mention I passed MLE a week ago (throwback to the Mar 10 post). Data Engineer is the next in line..

Mar 16 post came true 😎🏆

First visit to the diamond district today.. 👀😎

Gators are winning it all this year #MarchMadness

Machine Learning is the next domino. Fundamentals and MLE are coming soon.

Tool demo went well 😎 It’s interesting how creation leads to even more creativity. One idea executed leads to two, three, ten, etc. ideas for improving, tweaking, and enhancing that original solution. A creativity domino effect that is only...

I built a cool tool for work this weekend, excited to see where it goes and add a few more features. I plan to share more soon!

It's interesting how our feelings are shaped by our expectations. Today, I flew back to NYC on Spirit. Like most people, I don’t expect much - just to arrive safely. Anything more is a bonus. The flight departed on time, I had an empty seat...

Two thoughts lately: I want to keep getting better at asking questions. All system design is simply moving data from one place to another.

Been back home for a few days for a friend's wedding. Always special seeing so many close friends and sharing the special night with the bride and groom. It's pretty cool to visit hometown spots with college friends. 70 degree weather is al...

This week was amazing! Finished another book, averaged 10k/day steps, attended a Google Cloud Lab, and fixed quite a few longstanding minor bugs on my website. This next week should be exciting, traveling back home for a wedding 😁 Reading V...

Google Analytics setup for the website 😎 Excited to capture some data for the site over time, and I am looking forward to playing around with it and gaining some insight!

I realized today in the gym that the January rush has ended and is back to the December levels. As much as I prefer an empty gym, pretty unfortunate to think folks gave up on their goals that quick. Keep going.

With the rise of AI Agents, AI benchmarks ever-increasing, and new models dropping every few months it seems like we are entering a golden age of entrepreneurship. I think we will see the rise of the ‘one-man-band’ across numerous start-ups...

It was a good week! Some days felt like I didn’t maximize my productivity in my free time but still accomplished a good amount of tasks. I hit my physical goals for the week and saw my nephew and friends throughout the week. Gator basketbal...

Gator basketball upsets the number one team in the country, a snowstorm outside, and steak for dinner… does it get any better than that?!?

Ultimately, my goal is to start creating all forms of content. This year was the biggest step forward, starting with this website. Using the blog and this reflection page gives me a chance to share my longer-form writing & general thoughts....

"If you do not have clear goals for your life, you are condemned forever to work for those who do. In life it is very simple, you're either working towards the accomplishment of your goals or the accomplishment of other people's goals. In f...

Beginning and ending eras. Sydney and I got bonsai trees meant to live for hundreds of years, shortly after, Jimmy Butler was traded from the Heat. We went to one of the NBA finals games when it was the Heat vs. Nuggets which will always be...

It was a great week! - Started with the Heat vs. Nets (Easy W) and our first event at the Barclays Center - Regular In-Office day - Javits Center for the first time on Thursday for the Microsoft AI Tour - Kings Theatre for the first time to...

You learn some of the most valuable lessons in victory or defeat, but not trying at all you only learn what regret feels like. Try it out.

"We're all doing life together for the first time" -070 Shake @ her concert in Kings Theatre, Brooklyn.

First reflection post! I finally got the blog to a spot where it has all the functionality I can think of that I would need going forward, and has been ready to deploy/share. Still, I'm waiting on the SES prod environment.. cough cough AWS....
